A singular, hand-printed scarf made from premium silk–wool voile. Naturally dyed and printed with pōhutukawa, eucalyptus, and geranium leaves, each leaf leaves its own unique mark. Light, soft, and versatile — perfect to drape, wrap, or wear as a shawl.
This one-of-a-kind piece measures approximately 70 × 190cm. I began by gently dyeing the fabric in a bath of eucalyptus leaves, then hand-printed it with the natural pigments of pōhutukawa aerial roots, giant geranium, and eucalyptus leaves. No inks or synthetics are used — the colours come entirely from the plants themselves, revealed through a slow and mindful process.
The silk–wool voile is one of my favourite fabrics to print on; its fine weave and natural sheen capture each leaf’s impression in delicate detail. This scarf is both artwork and accessory — a singular piece that carries the quiet beauty of nature, celebrating natural variation, seasonal change, and the subtle alchemy between fibre and leaf.
