Printed with eucalyptus and kapuka leaves on natural ivory silk satin georgette, this piece carries an energetic, layered rhythm. Four long strips of crisp, overlapping leaf impressions — silver dollar, eucalyptus, and kapuka — form a dynamic composition that feels both spontaneous and deliberate. Tones of orange, grey, and soft purple shift across the surface, evoking movement, light, and shadow.

The fabric’s lustrous satin face catches the light, while the reverse has a gentle crepe texture that drapes fluidly against the skin. Light and flowing, it can be worn as a scarf or shawl — an elegant meeting of order and wildness, fibre and leaf.

Fabric: Silk satin georgette
Dimensions: Approximately 68 × 190 cm

Colour Note

Each scarf is hand-printed with natural plant pigments, and I’ve done my best to show the colours accurately. Because of the subtle variations in leaves and fibres, the hues may appear slightly different in real life than on your screen.

  • Care Instructions

    Silk

    • Hand wash gently in cool to lukewarm water (below 30°C) with a mild, pH-neutral soap or delicate detergent.

    • Do not soak for long periods. Wash quickly and handle gently.

    • Rinse in cool water. To add softness and lustre, you may add a few drops of white vinegar to the final rinse.

    • Roll in a clean towel to remove excess water—never wring or twist.

    • Dry flat or hang out of direct sunlight.

    • Iron on a low heat setting while still slightly damp, using a press cloth if needed.

    Silk/Wool Blends

    • Treat as you would wool: cool hand wash only, with a wool-safe detergent.

    • Avoid sudden changes in temperature, which may cause shrinkage or felting.

    • Do not wring. Gently squeeze out excess water and roll in a towel.

    • Dry flat, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

    • Steam or iron on a low wool setting with a cloth between the fabric and iron.

    General Notes

    • Avoid bleach, strong detergents, or dry cleaners that use harsh chemicals.

    • Store away from direct sunlight and moisture.

    • Natural fibres may develop subtle changes over time, adding to their character and uniqueness.
